MÊRDÎN- Co-mayors denied the news about the expenditures of Mêrdîn Metropolitan Municipality in some media outlets and said that they are trying to create perception with the news.

 

A trustee was appointed to Mêrdîn (Mardin) Metropolitan Municipality, which was governed by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), on November 4 with the decision of the Ministry of Interior. Co-Mayors Ahmet Türk and Devrim Demir were targeted by some media outlets and news reports were published with the title “It was revealed that they spent 4 million 505 thousand Liras under the name of representation and hospitality in 7 months”. Co-mayors denied the news in question. 

 

Following statement made: “It is claimed that Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Co-Mayors Ahmet Türk and Devrim Demir spent 4 million 505 thousand Liras from the representation and hospitality item of the special pen budget in the 7 months they were in office. The alleged figure is unreal. It is a lie, a slander. It is a news article aimed at creating perception in the eyes of the people of Mardin.”
