ISTANBUL - In Istanbul, women will take over the guard against the usurpation of the will of the people of Colemêrg.
The action launched by Istanbul Labor, Peace and Democracy Forces in Şişhane Square in Beyoğlu district against the appointment of a trustee to Colemêrg (Hakkari-Kurdistan) Municipality continues. The guard duty, which has been going on for a week, will be taken over by the Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) activists and the Women's Council of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) on June 18.
TJA called for the protest with the motto, "Women are on guard for Hakkari" and said: "We do not accept the trustee mentality that usurps the will of women and the people. We are on guard duty in Şişhane Square on June 18."
