COLEMÊRG - Prisoner on hunger strike, Dilgeş Yaşar, said: "It is not possible for us to accept the isolation as normal. The biggest action against the truth is to raise our voice."

Dilgeş Yaşar, who has been detained in Trabzon Beşikdüzü Type T Closed Prison for 8 years and participated in the hunger strike action carried out within the scope of the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish issue" campaign, talked about her action in a phone call with her family.

Drawing attention that the conditions in prisons have become worse parallel to the isolation, Yaşar said: "It is not possible for us to accept the isolation as normal. We have not heard from our leader for the last 3 years. You cannot come across such an isolation practice anywhere in the world."

Emphasizing that isolation is a crime, Yaşar said: "The state continues to commit the crime of isolation uninterruptedly. We are taking turns on hunger strikes against the crime against humanity committed. The greatest action against the truth is to raise our voice. Our people must take action more than ever and embrace this action. We can only remain silent. We need not only to stay, but also to warn those who choose to remain silent."
