AMED - Peace Mothers asked PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to meet with his family and lawyers and said: "We are responsible for lifting the isolation."
Democratic Regions Party (DBP) held a conference in Amed's Rêzan (Bağlar) district yesterday, with the motto "Let's establish a free life with an organized society", before the 6th Extraordinary Congress to be held in Ankara on November 12. At the conference, where organizational mobilization was emphasized, it was stated that the only interlocutor in the solution of the Kurdish issue was PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and a call was made to end the isolation.
'ÖCALAN MUST MEET WITH HIS FAMILY'
Peace Mother Mashallah Işık Arslan, who attended the conference from Sêrt, emphasized that as mothers, they always defend peace. Drawing attention that the isolation is imposed on the entire society, Arslan said: “This isolation should be lifted. We want Abdullah Öcalan to be allowed to meet with his lawyers and family. We are responsible for lifting isolation. Everyone should be sensitive about this issue."
'WE DO NOT ACCEPT ISOLATION'
Peace Mother Kumru İbek stated that they do not accept the isolation and said: “If the isolation is lifted, peace and freedom will come to the country. There is a lot of pressure and restrictions on us, but we will still break this isolation."
Mother of Peace Momine Işılyen, who attended the conference from Kerboran (Dargeçit) district of Mêrdîn, said: “We want our land, our leadership, peace, equality and brotherhood. If our leader emerges, a definitive solution will come. Our soul is with our Leadership. Unless the leadership is free, our nation will not be free. We must be united for this."
Stating that they came to the conference for peace and justice, Mother of Peace Leyla Yasak said: “We do not want war and massacre. We want peace. We want to be free. We want the issues to be solved and the massacres to stop."
