Police raid HDP Esenyurt district building

ISTANBUL - Police raided HDP Esenyurt District Organization. HDP Istanbul Provincial Organization stated that they will file a criminal complaint, said: "The police, who raided our district building without giving any notice to us, committed a crime together with those who gave the order."
 
People's Democratic Party (HDP) Esenyurt District Organization was raided by the police in the morning. While the police closed the street where the district building was located before the raid, no reason was given for the raid.
 
During the search, hundreds of books in the library and photographs of Deniz Poyraz and Kemal Kurkut, who were murdered, and plaques given in football tournaments held in their names were thrown to the ground. Flags and pennants belonging to the Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Labor and Freedom Alliance were also torn and scattered around.
 
On the other hand, photographs of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who were in the district building, were confiscated.
 
LAWYERS WILL FILL A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT
 
HDP Istanbul Provincial Organization shared the following message on its Twitter account: "The AKP-MHP government continues its illegal activities. The police, who raided our Esenyurt district building in the early hours of the morning without giving any notice to us, committed a crime together with those who gave the order. Necessary information will be given to the public after our investigations on the subject are completed."
 
Co-chairs will file a criminal complaint about the raid through their lawyers.
