Calling his family on the weekly phone call, Gül announced that they had started an indefinite nonrotating hunger strike as a total of 6 prisoners, including Rıdvan Kaya, Fikret Erden, İhsan Oral, Orhan Doruk and Serhat Erdemci. Stating that he was deprived of his most basic rights by being subjected to psychological pressure from the administration, Gül stated that the Circular No. 45/1 of the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses of the Ministry of Justice was not implemented and they were subjected to psychological pressure.

'THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PRISON IS THE RESPONSIBLE'

Stating that the prison director physically and psychologically tortured all political prisoners, Gül said: “I want you to report this to the public. We will put our bodies to death and continue the hunger strike until the end. If a martyr emerges from here, the administration of the prison is the responsible, the first director of the prison is responsible. We are ready to pay the price."
