Prosecution statements of detained journalists completed

ANKARA - The statement proceedings of the journalists detained in the Ankara-based investigation at the prosecutor's office have been completed. Journalists were asked about their news, phone calls and social media posts.
 
17 people, including Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) Co-chair Dicle Müftüoğlu and Mesopotamia Agency (MA) editor Sedat Yılmaz, who were detained in operations in 15 cities within the scope of the Ankara-based investigation, were referred to the Ankara Courthouse after their statements at the Ankara Security Directorate ended.
 
NEWS CLAIM TO JOURNALISTS
 
The journalists whose statements at the prosecutor's office were completed were asked about the news stories they report, the phone calls they made with their colleagues and news sources, and the posts in their social media accounts.
 
AWAITING FOR THE DECISION OF PROSECUTOR 
 
While Filiz Yılmaz, the sister of journalist Yılmaz, was released after the prosecutor's statement, the decision of the prosecutor regarding other detentions is awaited.
