NEWS CENTER- Police chief Aykut Oral and a police officer, who were among those who tortured 14-year-old Y.D. in Lice, were arrested upon objection.
Two of the police officers who put 14-year-old Y. D. in an armored vehicle on March 21 in the Licê district of Amed(Diyarbakır), tortured him and demanded him swear at the Kurds, threatened him with death if he did not memorize the Turkish National Anthem, the Mehmetçik(Turkish) March and the address to Youth, then tied his hands and feet and left him to die in a creek swamp, were arrested. Police Chief Aykut Oral and policeman Hayrettin Çakmak, who were released, were arrested upon the objection of Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
