URFA - 9 people lost their lives in the flood waters that occurred after the heavy rain. It is stated that there are still citizens waiting to be rescued at Abide Junction and Piazza AVM.

The torrential rain that started yesterday in URFA caused flooding in the city. After the rain, an overflow occurred in the Karakoyun Stream. While many homes and businesses were flooded in the stream bed, the drivers were also trapped in the vehicle.

While Abide Junction Tunnel and Balıklıgöl Plateau, located in the center of the city, remained under water, 9 people lost their lives due to the flood. It was learned that floods occurred in Akçakale and Harran districts due to precipitation.

THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO TRAPPED AT THE AVM

The ground floor of Piazza AVM, one of the busiest spots in the city, also flooded. On the ground floor, 6 people were trapped. In many parts of the city, those trapped in flood waters and especially in detached houses are waiting to be rescued.

On the other hand, AFAD announced that the rains will continue until Thursday.
