URFA - While the rainfall that was effective in Urfa left houses, workplaces and public buildings, roads, bridges and tunnels under water, the crowd gathered at Abide Junction condemned the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, who wanted to see the life market in the tunnel, and drove him away from the area.

While houses, offices, public buildings, roads, bridges and tunnels were flooded due to the heavy rain in Urfa, one of the 6 people who were trapped in the Abide Junction tunnel, which was filled with water in the Haliliye district, escaped with their own means. Hours later, divers were brought in for those trapped in the tunnel. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeynel Abidin Beyazgül, who came to watch the search and rescue efforts, was booed by the crowd gathered around and removed from the area. Anger escalated over the rumor that Beyazgül's bodyguard had drawn a gun to the public. Bayazgül was abducted from the area by the police and put into his vehicle. Thousands of people have gathered around the Abide Junction, where the search and rescue work continues, and they condemned the mayors and the government.

ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM DAMAGED

On the other hand, the Karakoyun stream of the city (known as the sewer stream) also overflowed. After the creek overflowed, the Archaeological Museum, Mosaic Museum, Piaza AVM, Sigorta Neighborhood and Suleymaniye Neighborhood were flooded. It is among the information received that the works in the warehouse of the archeology museum were damaged. It was claimed that 6 people were caught in the flood in the flooded area. Mancı Stream overflowed again in Halatlı Bahçe Street. While houses along the stream were submerged, many vehicles were also swept away by the flood waters.
