AMED - Historical ruins came to light under the destroyed houses in the Ben û Sen district of Yenişehir district. Municipal employees, under the management of trustees, who carry out landscape work in the region, cover the ruins defended as the “Second Wall” with soil and concrete.

New historical ruins emerged under the rubble of the Ben û Sen District, which was destroyed under the name of "urban transformation" in the Yenişehir district of Amed. The remains, which are described as the "Second Wall" by some archaeologists, are covered with soil and concrete by the employees of the Metropolitan Municipality, who are managed by the trustee. It is not known whether experts were consulted about the remains that were covered within the scope of the "Restoration of the city walls and cleaning up their surroundings" project, which was started on August 10, 2020 with the appointment of a trustee.

IT IS COVERED WITH CONCRETE

There is a concern that the ruins in question will be destroyed before they are brought to light, within the scope of the “Land use plan Benusen Project” carried out by the trustee. Works such as greenery and bicycle paths are carried out on the remains covered with soil and concrete.

IT WILL BE BURIED IN THE GROUND!

The top of the ruins is reflected in the photographs that have not deteriorated due to the houses built until now. While there is no information about its history and structure, the ruins are thought to belong to very ancient times. The structure and stone shape of the ruins in question seem to be compatible with the structure of the Walls. If the land use plan of the trustee is not stopped, the historical remains may be buried again.
