İSTANBUL- When the prisoners in Marmara (Silivri) Closed Prison failed to pay the bill of 1,500 TL, their electricity was cut off by the administration.
 
An electricity bill of 1,500 TL was sent by the administration to the 11-person ward in Marmara (Silivri) No. 2 Type L Closed Prison. When the prisoners could not pay the bill, the administration cut off the electricity for two days. Giving information to his family about the issue in a contact visit yesterday, Prisoner Halil Ay said: "Our electricity was cut off because we did not pay the electricity price of 1,500 TL, which is the electricity price we used for a month. Electricity was not supplied to the ward for two days and the administration later confiscated money from the prisoners' accounts without permission. They confiscated money in their accounts without permission. This situation is unlawful and should be known by the public, and we called for sensitivity."
