MALATYA - Ambulance was denied to the family of Barış Keve, who came to take the body of Barış Keve died in a cell in Malatya Akçadağ Type T Closed Prison.
 
The body of Barış Keve (25), who died under suspicious circumstances in a cell in Malatya Akçadağ Type T Closed Prison, was received by his family. Upon the news of Keve's death, the family, who came to Malatya at night , went to the Forensic Medicine Institute (ATK), where the body was taken for autopsy, with their attorney. Autopsy procedures were carried out with the participation of the prosecutor in the morning. After the autopsy, the body was released to the family.
 
AMBULANCE DENIED TO THE FAMILY
 
Although it was stated by the ATK that an ambulance would be given to the family to transport the body, the ambulance was denied to the family when the police arrived.
 
The family took Keve's body in a private funeral vehicle arranged by their own means and set off to be laid to rest in Van Çatak district center.
 
BACKGROUND
 
The prison administration called Barış Keve's family living in the Çatak district of Van at 10 pm and stated that Barış Keve committed suicide. Upon the news of Barış Keve's death, his family set out from Van to Malatya. İlkkan Keve, brother of Keve, stated that they last spoke to Barış on Friday, September 16, and they did not feel problem about Keve.
 
Keve, who was sentenced to 6 years and 3 months in prison based on anonymous witness statements, was detained and arrested 3 months ago in Edirne. It was learned that Keve, who was transferred to Malatya Akçadağ Prison with 5 prisoners 5 days ago, was held in a cell.
