The battery of villagers proved with medical reports

HAKKARI - It has been revealed that the villagers detained within the scope of the military operation launched in the Astenga Reş area of ​​Yüksekova district were battered by the soldiers during their detention.
 
The military operation that started on June 26 in the Astenga Reş region in the rural areas of Şîşemzîn, Xurekana Seyîda and Xurekana Temo villages of Yüksekova district of Hakkari continues. 11 of the 13 people detained during the operation were released after their statements were taken at the Yüksekova District Gendarmerie Command yesterday evening.
 
Behçet and Birhat Engüdar brothers, who are still in custody, were referred to Yüksekova State Hospital in order to find out whether they had been batterred at around 17.30, as a result of the initiatives of the members of the Association for Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) and Human Rights Association (İHD) Hakkari branch. Folowing their examination, it was revealed that the citizens who had been detained for 2 days were exposed to battery and ill-treatment.
 
It was learned that the detained Engüdar brothers were taken back to Yüksekova District Gendarmerie Command after the getting assault reports at the hospital.
