VAN - Condemning the KDP's role in the attacks, former PUK peshmerge Cemal Sezgin said: "The KDP has become trouble for all 3 parts of Kurdistan. Why are they avoiding from the national congress?"

The attacks launched by Turkey against Zap, Metina and Avaşîn in the Federated Kurdistan Region on April 17 in cooperation with the KDP continue with fierce clashes. The KDP's role in the attacks continues to receive condemnations. Cemal Sezgin, a former peshmerge from the PUK, who was the bodyguard of Celal Talabani, one of the founders of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said: "The KDP has become trouble for all 3 parts of Kurdistan. Why are they avoiding from the national congress?"

'KDP IS TROUBLE FOR ALL 3 PARTS OF KURDISTAN'

Reminding that 700 PUK peshmerga came to Hakkari in 1977 to cross into Zaxo, Sezgin said, “At that time, three PUK leaders were killed by KDP forces in the village of Beyîrman. Again, nearly half of the group was killed by the KDP in the Çukurca and Beytüşşebap regions. The people of Bakur and Rojava offered a lot of support to the KDP at that time and kept the KDP alive for years. The KDP itself was saying that the liberation of one part brings the liberation of other three parts. Today, Bashur was saved, but they caused trouble for other 3 parts of Kurdistan. Now let's assume Bashur is saved, but they became trouble for other 3 parts of Kurdistan. We must ask, "Why are you avoiding the national congress?"

'KURDS WILL NOT FORGIVE BETRAYAL'

Stating that the KDP's policies have not been in the interests of the Kurds for a long time, Sezgin said: "The KDP has hundreds of companies in Turkey. The KDP had fallen into the pit, the people of Bakur pulled the KDP out of the pit, but at this point they no longer take anyone seriously. Currently, the KDP has an offensive partnership with Turkey.

The KDP is taking its place in Turkey's attacks today as it avoids the national congress. The Barzani family should know this very well; Kurds are not the same forgiving people anymore. The Kurds will never forgive betrayal."

KDP WANTS ONE-MAN REGIME

Stating that the KDP betrayed the KDP-I forces in Rojhilat in 1982, Sezgin said: “What the KDP did that day in Rojhilat, it is doing the same in Bashur today; but the people of Bashur will not allow it. The KDP works for the interests of the Barzani family. The only wish of the KDP is a one-man regime. The Barzani family wants to implement the one-man regime in Bashur. I'm sorry, but the Kurdish people do not accept this system. All I want for the Kurds is to consolidate their national interests and to fight for it."
