İSTANBUL - The defendant, who is accused of threatening the Hrant Dink Foundation and were taken into custody, gave his statements regarding to the accusations.

A man was taken into custody in Konya within the scope of the investigation of İstanbul Office of the Public Prosecutor regarding a threating e-mail sent to Hrant Dink Foundation. The person is learned to be living in Selçuklu distict and to have a criminal record of various crimes such as "intentional injury, threat and assault".

In his statement in İstanbul Police Headquearters, the suspect said that he "I was affected by my Azerbaijani girlfriends tellings about the Armenians in Karabagh and so I did such a thing. I also called the Armenian Church the other they and no one opened the phone".

Hrant Dink Foundation had announced it received death threats via email, as the threat message contained  'We may come suddenly one night'.
