AĞRI - Zozan Mihyeddin, wife of Murat Kaya who was killed by the gendermerie in Tutak, Soğukpınar village stated that she was threatened to be deported back to Syria in the 7 days she was kept under custody. Mihyeddin who told that her husband was taken to a neighbor's house to be killed, said: "ISIS killed my father and now Turkish state killed my husband."

Zozan Mihyeddin (22) wife of Murat Kaya (28), father of 3 who was killed in a raid to Soğukpınar village in Ağrı, Tutak told about what happened that day and after that. Mihyeddin stating that she was threatened with deportation all seven days under custody, said: "ISIS killed my father and now Turkish state killed my husband."

Zozan Mihyeddin who was born in Haseké, Syria, lived in Kobané until she is 15. Following the ISIS attack against Kobané, Mihyeddin had to come to Turkey with her mother and 2 younger siblings, worked in the fruit and olive gardens in Adana and Hatay for a living. Mihyeddin got married with Murat Kaya in 2016 and moved to Ağrı and she had 3 children with him.

Mihyeddin said: "My mother in law came home and summoned Murat in the morning. She said that the gendermerie came to the village and that they should learn what's it about. I told him not to go. He didn't listen to me. They laid him on the ground and started searching him with their feet. They soon got him up and took him to a neighbor's house. I heard gun fire. I was scared and didn't leave the house. I never saw Murat again."

Mihyeddin stating that after the gun fire stopped they took many villagers to the school, said she didn't know her husband was killed because the gendermerie didn't let her out of the house. Mihyeddin who was detained with 8 other people that day and kept under custody for 7 days, said: "They came to our home around 16.00. They started searching. They couldn't find anything and they took me into custody and took me to the Tutak Gendermerie Command. They told me my husband was dead. I didn't believe them. Two days later my husband's brother told me. That's when I believed that he was gone. The soldiers kept telling me that my husband was a terrorist. They said he threw them a bomb. I told them that he was a civillian not a terrorist and that we did not have any weapons in our home. They insulted us the whole time. There were 4 women with me under custody from the village. They didn't even feed us. We cried the whole time. Our children are yound we had to nurse them but they didn't let us. They asked my why I came to Turkey during the interrogation. I told them I came here because there was a war back home. I saw the other villagers when they were brought in for deposition. They were injured. Some of them could not walk."

Mihyeddin who was threatened with arrest and deportation, said: "When I told them that they killed my husband, they told me 'We didn't kill your husband. Don't stonewall us or we will arrest you and you will never see your children again. We will send you back to Syria". They asked me if I knew the people from the village. I told them I was a bride and didn't know anyone. They let me attend my husband's funeral when my family insisted. They gave some sedatives to me. They told me not to scream, cry or talk to anybody or they would arrest me and deport me."

Mihyeddin who haven't heard from her father who did not leave Kobané when ISIS attacked and thought that he was killed, said: "ISIS killed my innocent father in Kobané. Turkish state killed my husband. My husband did not do anything. They searched my house and could not find anything. We are miserable. They took my children's father from them. Who will answer for that? My husband did not harm anyone. All he did was to take care of his family. I will never let his perpetrators go."
