KOCAELİ - While 14 people amongst those detained in Kocaeli, including HDP Provincial Co- Chair Leyla Aygün got arrested, 8 people were released on the condition of judicial control.
22 people who were detained in the house raids on November 26 against the People's Democratic Party (HDP) in Kocaeli were taken to the court after the completion of the security procedures. HDP Kocaeli Provincial Co-Chair Leyla Aygün, HDP PM member Mehmet Alçınkaya, Gebze District Co-Chair Ebubekir Çoban, HDP Provincial Administrator Lawyer Zakire Dündar, HDP members Damla Bağcı, Melek Yerkan, Gökhan Demirtaş, Şenol Daşdemir, Lawyer Yüksel Genç, Osman Kurum, Hasret Erdem, Meryem Uslu, Emine Karaslan and Kutbettin Güneşsu were sent to court with the request of arrest with the accusation of 'being a member of an illegal organization'.
14 people brought to court, were arrested on the same allegation and sent to prison.
HDP Provincial Treasurer İrfan Demir, HDP PM member Engin Güleser, HDP members Tekin Gür, Biret Aydemir, Kudret Davutoglu, Mehmet Karaslan, Mekiye Aydin and Necla Erdogan were released after their depositions at the prosecutor's office.
HDP PM member Bülent Uyguner, who was detained on 26 November, was arrested on 28 November with the accusation of 'being a member of an organization'.
