URFA - Sick prisoner Emine Aslan Aydoğan being held in Urfa Prison have lost her life in the hospital she was taken to. It was stated that Aydoğan's an application was made for the release of Aydoğan due to her health problems.
64 years old Emine Aslan Aydoğan being held in Urfa Type T No 2 Prison lost her life in Urfa Mehmet Akif İnan Education and Research Hospital. Aydoğan, who has been in prison for the last 16 months, was operated 4 times in 10 days because she had a tumor in her kidney and she was in intensive care for 10 days. Aydogan who detoriorated this morning, lost her life at the hospital. Her family was informed.
Aydoğan was arrested in 2018 with the accusation of 'being a member to an illegal organization' while she was a People's Democratic Party (HDP) Viranşehir District Executive as a result of the statement of an anonymous witness. She was sentenced to 8 years and 7 months of prison. Aydoğan was suffering from gall bladder and she had a tumor in her kidney in the prison she had been held for 16 months. It was learned that Aydoğan's family applied to Urfa Bar Association Human Rights Center and Urfa Branch of Human Rights Association for the treatment and release of Aydoğan.
Aydoğan's body was taken to Urfa Forensic Medicine Institution. Her body will be delivered to her family after the autopsy. The family will take the body to Viranşehir for burial.
