Mother Kudret Sever who visited her son in Ağrı Patnos Type L Closed Prison on wednesday, old about the violations of rights she encountered in the prison.
Sever who stated that her son is in prison for 26 years, said strip search was imposed on her in the prison. Sever, stating that all of her clothes was removed during the search, said that the search felt like rape.
Mother Sever who stated that his son's application for release have been denied, said: "My son told me that the guards keep banging on the doors at night and doesn't let them sleep. The food is terrible and they do not have access to hot water, or drinking water.He said there are 2 thousand 700 people in the prison that was built with a capacity to hold 1.700. Their access to newspapers, radio, television is limited. They can rarley have a bath."
The prison administration we called to confirm these allegations said that they can not provide information.
