Four Village and Neighborhood Heads Removed from Office in Batman

BATMAN - The Governorship of Batman has removed three neighborhood heads and one village head from office and appointed trustees in their place.
 
Three neighborhood heads and one village head have been removed from office by the Governorship of Batman.
 
The heads (mukhtars) of Çay, Korik and Bağlar neighborhoods and the head of Kösetarla village have been dismissed on the ground that there are ongoing lawsuits and investigations against them. Trustees have been appointed in their place by the Batman Governorship.
 
In a statement released by the Governorship, it has been indicated that the mukhtars have been removed from office as there are investigations against them on charges of "being members of a terrorist organization by committing crimes in the name of the organization, resisting to prevent fulfilment of duty, favoring the criminal, violating the law on meetings and demonstrations, propagandizing for a terrorist organization."
 
The Governorship has also announced that the certificate of election of Çay neighborhood had has been annulled by the Supreme Election Council (YSK) as he has been convicted.
