MARDİN - Sultan Özen who was appointed as a manager to the Derik Municipality Women's Solidarity and Development Center during the trustee period, loaded the goods of the municipality which worth 180 thousand TL to a truct and took them with her.
Özen was dismissed after the local elections.
After his dismissal, Özen, who was assigned to the Public Education Center of the Derik District, confiscated the goods of the municipality with an unidentified group with the police excorting them. Özen, loaded the women's center sewing machines, painting materials, wardrobes, computers, tables, chairs, televisions, refrigerators, children's toys and water heaters, and everything she found on a truck. When the municipal authorities showed the invoice for the items in question, the police and the accompanying group took away the goods of the municipality by force.
It was announced by the trustee that the goods were bought with the municipal budget. Financial Status report of the municipality was shared by the municipality's social media account during the trustee period and 180 thousand TL worth of material was bought by the municipality budget to the Women's Solidarity and Development Center.
The evacuated institution is now incapable of service.
