Free Women's Movement Activist Gülcihan Şimşek who participated in the hunger strike initiated in the prisons and lasted 68 days said the demands of Güven is right and just.
Şimşek who reminded that the hunger strikes first started in Turkey after the September 12 coup , said: "Kemal Pir and his friends have started a hunger strike in Amed Dungeons against the unlawfullnesses and injustices and that turned into death fasts.Kemal Pir and his friends who love life to death, have lost their lives.Today, again in Amed dungeons, a woman, a parliamentarian, Leyla Güven have taken over this resistance. This resistance reveals that the mechanics of the coup still continues. Democracy forces continue to resist against this system still.
