MERSİN- The bodies exhumed from Garzan Cemetery a year ago was not delivered to the families. The families that went to ATK claimin the bodies of their children said: "We just want our kids bones back."
The bodies of 265 of 267 people that were exhumed from Garzan Cemetery on December 19 2017 is being kept at İstanbul Institution of Forensic Medicine (ATK) on the ground that the DNA results aren't back yet. After the application of the families, Bitlis Chief Prosecutor's office promised to deliver the bodies in a short time but no developments have been experienced since then.
YPG fighters Mustafa Çiftçi's and Yusuf Ateş's bodies who lost their lives fighting with ISIS in 2015 was brought to İstanbul ATK as well. The families that says they have no idea why they were exhumed, wants the bodies given back to them.
