ANKARA - The forest fires which has been ongoing in Dersim for three months has surrounded the city.

 

The forest fires caused by the ongoing operations in Dersim has surrounded the city. Kutudere, Harsi, Areki, Zargovit and Ahpanos in Ocavık province are burning up. Fires burning in hundreds of kilometer squares of forest area have been expanding. It’s been learned that a new fire in the province of Pilvenk, and another in Kale and Geban has started and due to the ongoing operations, military doesn’t allow in and out of the village nor they respond to the fire.

 

MAYOR MILITARY DOESN’T ALLOW RESPONDING TO THE FIRE

 

Mazgirt mayor Türkel Tekin said due to the ongoing operations the fire has closed in on the village and they managed to slow it down with the help of the people but because the soldiars doesnt let them, they can not respond to the fire any further and they want the operation to be terminated so that the fire could be stopped.
