ANKARA - PDP co-chair Pervin Buldan reacted to the rejection of the application of maltreatment towards the leader of Kurdistan Worker’s Party Abdullah Öcalan, stating “This court decision is not only aimed at Öcalan, but to all Kurds!”

 

European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) have rejected the application of maltreatment of Kurdistan Worker’s Party’s leader Abdullah Öcalan’s lawyers have made in 2010.

 

WE DİSSAPPROVE OF THE DECISION OF THE ECHR!

 

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) co-chair Pervin Buldan declared, “Mr. Öcalan has not been in complete isolation since 2015, but has been from 20 years. And since then, Turkiye being in the first place, european countries and even ECHR have maintained a negative attitude. We are insisting that Mr. Öcalans lawyers, family, and independent committees to see him is the god-given right. We dissapprove of the ECHR’ decision.”

 

MUST BE CHANGED IMMEDIATELY

 

Buldan continued her speach : “ Öcalan is not an ordinary person, nor an ordinary prisoner and so it Imralı prison. The isolation which has been applied to prisoners in this prison for years is not acceptable. Today, ECHR have decided again towards isolation. I have to emphasize that this is not a just decision and must be changed immediately.”
