The trial of Rojnews Arabic service editor Süleyman Ahmet, who was detained by the KDP security forces and no news was heard from for 279 days and was later revealed to be under arrest, was held today. The Duhok Court sentenced Ahmet to 3 years in prison. The court did not allow the representative of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) to follow the case.
