Six young women were detained in Misirc (Kurtalan) district of Sêrt province after a video of them dancing at a wedding was shared on virtual media. House raids were conducted in Êlih (Batman) and Sêrt (Siirt) after the footage was shared on racist accounts on virtual media. 6 young women in the footage were detained. The detainees were taken to Siirt Provincial Security Directorate.
The governor's office claimed that the young people were “making propaganda for an illegal organization”.

Nine young people who were detained in Mersin after being targeted were arrested on July 25 on charges of “making propaganda for an illegal organization”.
A similar case took place in the Bazîd (Doğubayazıt) district of Agirî (Ağrı). Six people who wore local clothes and danced the govend to Kurdish songs at a wedding were detained on charges of “making propaganda for an illegal organization” and released.
