COLEMÊRG - The participants of the "Respect for the Will March" will make a mass statement after marching to the center of Colemêrg today.
The "Respect for the Will March" against the appointment of trustees to the Colemêrg (Hakkari-Kurdistan) Municipality run by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) on June 3 is on its 9th day. Hundreds of marchers, including DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Keskin Bayındır and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Cahit Kırkazak, spent the night in Depin. The marchers had breakfast early in the morning and completed their preparations for the last day of the march.
LAST 10 KILOMETERS
The marchers waiting in Depin were visited by a large group including Nurettin Çelik, a prisoner of 30 years. The marchers, who stopped to dance to songs, will start their march towards the center of Colemêrg at noon. The marchers will reach the city center after walking for about 10 kilometers. A mass statement is expected to be made there.
