ÊLIH - The military operation launched on Mawa Mountain in Heskîf on June 18 continues. It was learned that 2 people lost their lives and two people were injured in the clashes.
Clashes continue in the Mawa Mountain in the Heskîf (Hasankeyf) district of Êlih (Batman-Kurdistan) and in the rural areas of the Xirbêkûr village in the region due to the operation launched on June 18. Entrances and exits to the Xirbêkûr village, located in the region where clashes continue with the support of UCAVs, F-16s and helicopters, are controlled. Gunshots are frequently heard in the region, where villagers are not allowed to leave their homes or even water their gardens.
On the other hand, it was stated that the bodies of the 2 people who lost their lives and were said to be HPG (People’s Defense Forces-Hêzên Parastina Gel) members are held in Batman Training and Research Hospital, and the 2 injured people were treated in the same hospital. While the unit where the injured were located was under police blockade, it was noted that no one was allowed to approach it.
