NEWS CENTER - Reacting to the police raid on Colemêrg Municipality, DEM Party called on everyone to take a clear stance against the coupist and trustee mentality.
The police, who blockaded the Colemêrg Municipality at night, raided the municipality in the morning. Co-Mayor Mehmet Sıddık Akış was also detained in Wan. Making a statement about the raid on its virtual media account, the Rights Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) called on everyone who supports democracy to take an open stance against this coup.
THREAT TO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE
The statement continued with the following statements: "The government, which was defeated by the will of the people every time, again resorted to the way it knew best: will usurpation and coupism. This morning, our Hakkari Municipality Co-Mayor Mehmet Sıddık Akış was detained in Van, and our municipality was usurped by police force. We reject this trustee approach. Our people showed through democratic means on March 31 that they do not accept this trustee approach. This coupist and trusteeist mentality is a threat not only to Hakkari but also to the will of the entire Turkey people. Our people will show their democratic reactions at the highest level. We call on everyone who supports democracy to take an open stance against this coup.”
