URFA- Stating that the Kurds showed a great example of solidarity in the face of the disaster, PYD Co-Chair Salih Muslim said: “The truth of the Turkish State and the Syrian regime has also been revealed. AFAD is an institution of the fascist state, a structure affiliated with Süleyman Soylu, who feeds the gangs through IHH."

While the wounds of the Maraş-centered earthquake, which caused great destruction in Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria, were healed, the attacks of paramilitary groups under the control of Turkey and Northern and Eastern Syria continued. While civilians in Kobanê Canton were targeted with drones (SİHA), settlements in Shehba and Eyn Isa regions were bombarded with heavy weapons.

During the attacks during the earthquake, civilians named Mahmut Kobanê in Kobanê and 70-year-old Yusef Ebid in Til Rıfat were killed. Co-Chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Salih Muslim, spoke about the attacks that continued during the earthquake.

THE TRUTH OF SYRIA AND TURKEY

Starting his speech by expressing his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives due to the earthquake, Muslim said: "The Kurds showed a great example of solidarity in the face of the disaster. The earthquake was not only natural but also political. I hope that we will get over this disaster that befell Kurdistan soon. The truth of the Turkish State and the Syrian regime emerged with the earthquake. It was very clear how they looked at the Kurdish people. While there are still many people under the rubble, they are not helped because they are Kurds. The aid we sent to the people affected by the earthquake in Syria was blocked by the Turkish State and the Syrian regime. The aid sent by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) to the earthquake victims with the limited means at its disposal was blocked by the Turkish State. Aids made to AFAD for earthquake victims are hidden and not delivered to the public."

'GANGS ARE FED THROUGH IHH'

Mentioning the late intervention of the authorities and the government in the earthquake zone in Turkey, Muslim said: "The government put the blame on Allah instead of taking responsibility. There are still people under the rubble even though days have passed since the earthquake disaster. AFAD teams did not intervene in the earthquake for a long time. In many cities of Kurdistan, the Kurdish people helped the earthquake victims. AFAD is an institution of the fascist state. It feeds the gangs through IHH. It is not a structure established to help people. AFAD is a structure affiliated with Süleyman Soylu, who feeds the gangs. Soylu is also dependent on Erdogan. That's why we don't expect them to help anyway. They're just happy about people's deaths."

THE AIM IS TO CHANGE THE DEMOGRAPHY

Reminding that the earthquake affected Aleppo's Şêxmaqsud, Eşrefiye neighborhoods and Afrin's Cindirês district, Muslim said: "The aid sent by the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration for earthquake victims was blocked by Turkey and the Syrian regime. Nearly a thousand people lost their lives in Cindirês district and there are still people under the rubble. The regions where the earthquake took place are in the hands of gangs affiliated with the Syrian regime and the Turkish State. That's why we try to send help in various ways. According to the images we received from Cindirês, the public is not helped in any way. People brought from outside are placed in tents set up under the pretext of earthquake victims. By not helping the people, they are forcing them to migrate. They want to settle people brought from abroad within the scope of Qatar's 'City of Honor' project. The aim is to change the demographics of the city because Cindirês has a very strategic importance in terms of agriculture. If the people under the rubble are Kurds, they do not help, and the aid we send is blocked. In other words, our people are under such persecution.”

THE PROJECTS OF STATES IN KURDISTAN

Stating that there is intolerance towards the status of the Kurds under the attacks of the guarantor states and other states in the region against Northern and Eastern Syria, Müslim said: “They all made their calculations based on the extinction of the Kurds. Turks want to realize their genocidal plans against the Kurds for more than 100 years. Likewise, the Baath Regime wanted to starve the Kurds and force them to migrate. In this way, they wanted to evacuate the Kurdish areas and settle the Arabs. All of them have projects on Kurdistan. They hope the Kurds disappear. According to them, the Kurd was ill and about to die. But it didn't. The Kurd, whom they say 'will die', is standing today and has a project. This project has been implemented in Rojava. It is uprising all peoples with its democratic nation project. They can't tolerate it either. That's why their hostility grows. They say: 'You were dead, we erased you from history, how did you rise up and raise other peoples against us.' In this way, they want to avenge history from the Kurds. All Kurds should be aware of this."
