URFA - The trailer of the documentary "For Justice", which is about Emine Şenyaşar's struggle for justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 590 days despite obstacles, has been released.

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 590. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Emine Şenyaşar and her son came in front of the Urfa Courthouse early in the morning and started the sit-in by hanging a banner with the inscription "Justice for the Şenyaşar family" on the concrete barriers.

Emine Şenyaşar's struggle, which has become a symbol for those who demand justice, has been the subject of documentaries and books before. Another documentary work about Şenyaşar's struggle, "For Justice", has been released. The trailer shared by the director of the documentary, Elif Yiğit, on social media accounts, includes sections of Emine Şenyaşar's footage taken in front of the Urfa Courthouse and on the way to Urfa.

‘I WANTED TO CONTRIBUTE TO JUSTICE’

Stating that Emine Şenyaşar has been keeping sit-in for justice for her husband (Esvet Şenyaşar) and two children (Adil and Celal Şenyaşar), who have been murdered in front of the Urfa Courthouse for nearly 600 days, and her son (Fadıl Şenyaşar), who has been imprisoned in Elazığ Prison for about 4 years, Yiğit said:"I chose the name "For Justice" for this reason. Regarding the reason for shooting the documentary. There has always been injustice and cruelty in our geography from past to present. Our mothers do not cry for their children every day, they seek justice to oppose this cruelty. I wanted to contribute to spreading the injustice and injustice in this geography to the whole world. Those who watched the documentary will see Emine Şenyaşar's struggle in front of the Urfa Courthouse and get to know her closely. The documentary has started to be sent to international film festivals and the festivals where it will be screened will be announced in the coming days."
