URFA - Şenyaşar family opened the “Justice Exhibition” in front of the courthouse for September 1 and the opening day of the judicial year. In the exhibition, photographs taken during the sit-in, caricatures drawn on the theme of justice and photographs of the ambulance where the injured were attacked were exhibited.

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 540. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Emine Şenyaşar and her son arrived in front of the Urfa Courthouse early in the morning. The family opened a "Justice Exhibition" in the area called "Şenyaşar family justice corner" in front of the courthouse, due to September 1, World Peace Day and the opening day of the judicial year when the judicial holiday ends. In the exhibition, photographs taken during the sit-in, caricatures about Emine Şenyaşar and justice, and the photograph of the ambulance where the injured were attacked on June 14, 2018 are exhibited. Citizens and lawyers who are on their way to the courthouse visit the “Justice  exhibition” and get information from the family about the injustice they have been subjected to.

Speaking about the opening of the judicial year, September 1 World Peace Day and the Justice Exhibition, Ferit Şenyaşar said: “Today, September 1 World Peace Day is also the opening day of the judicial year. Today is the 542nd day of Emine Şenyaşar's sit-in. Government executives will come out and make a statement for the opening of the judicial year. It is said that 'Turkey is a state of law'. People no longer believe what they say. The people see the unlawfulness in front of the courthouse through the judiciary. Those who don't listen to this mother's voice will lose. As a summary of Turkey's justice, we organised a 'Justice Exhibition' here on the sit-in that lasted for 542 days. We welcome all sensitive citizens to this exhibition.”

THE BAR AND HDP VISITED THE ŞENYAŞAR FAMILY

The exhibition will be exhibited throughout the day at the “Şenyaşar family justice corner” in front of the courthouse. The delegation, consisting of lawyers, including Urfa Bar Association President Mehmet Velat İzol and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa Provincial Co-Chair Ahmet Atış visited to the "Şenyaşar family justice corner" where Şenyaşar family held the Justice Exhibition after the statement made in front of the bar association service building for the opening of the judicial year.

Urfa Bar Association President Mehmet Velat İzol, who visited the exhibition and received information about the struggle for justice from the family, called for the family's demand for justice to be met as soon as possible. HDP Urfa Provincial Co-chair Ahmet Atış said that they will be in solidarity with the family until justice is done.
