SIRNAK - In the villages at the foot of Mount Cudi, the gendarmerie restricted the villagers with bread and food, while the citizens were allowed to enter their homes with a "permission slip".
While the attacks launched by Turkey on the Zap, Metina and Avaşîn regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region on April 17, in cooperation with the KDP, continued, a military operation was also launched in Şırnak's Judi Mountain after the attacks. As part of the operation launched against Mount Cudi on April 30, violent clashes took place and the mobilization in the region continues.
Due to the operation, entry and exit from the villages of Xinis, Şemga, Sorbitnê û Girêçolya in Silopi district, located at the foot of Mount Cudi, were banned on May 10. While search points are set up at the entrances of 4 villages, people can go to their homes and gardens by obtaining a "permission slip" from the police station. Villagers who cannot obtain a permission slip from the police station are not allowed to enter the village in any way. Entrances to Serêdehlê, Avgamasya Kevin and Şilerut villages of Şırnak, another slope of Mount Cudi, were also banned on May 15.
FINES AND FOOD RESTRICTION
According to the information received, many citizens were fined 2 thousand TL for violating the ban announced in the region. It was learned that soldiers set up search points on the road to Serêdehlê, Avgamasya and Şilerût villages, and it was stated that citizens who wanted to go to their vineyards, gardens and fields are passed a General Information Scan (GBT). It was reported that food, eating and drinking restrictions were imposed on the villagers who obtained permission from the governorship and entered their villages with a permission slip. It was learned that the villagers who bought more than one bread and food were allowed to pass after their food was confiscated.
