NEWS CENTER - Stating that Turkey is looking forward for new attacks with the partnership of the KDP, TEV-DEM Co-chair Ruken Ehmed said that this partnership will be destroyed with the National Congress.

 

Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Co-Chair Ruken Ehmed spoke to Fırat News Agency (ANF) about the partnership of Turkey with Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), the new attack plans against the Federated Kurdistan Region, KDP-ENKS relations and the importance of national unity.

 

FREEDOM OF ÖCALAN 

 

Regarding the isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ehmed said, “We participated in the 'Time for Freedom' movement launched for the physical freedom of Leader Apo. The CPT must respond to demands for clarifications and fulfill its duty. Our actions against not allowing talks with Leader Apo continue. We must strengthen our actions. The aim and target of this year's Newroz was to ensure the physical freedom of Leader Apo. This is our goal and our aim. We carry out our struggle and continue our ."

 

TURKEY PREPARES FOR ANOTHER ATTACK

 

Referring to Turkey's preparations for a new cross-border attack in partnership with the KDP, Ehmed said, "The Turkish state has never stopped its attacks. It has not stopped its attacks on the Kurdistan mountains, Medya Defense Zones, Bashur and Rojava Kurdistan for years. However, the Turkish state wants to make an opportunity for its war plans, especially between Russia and Ukraine, and is preparing itself. When it sees an opportunity, it will attack.  We have some information on this issue."

 

SOCIAL ORGANIZATION

 

Expressing that most of Turkey's cross-border attacks are inconclusive, Ehmed said, "However, it persistently continues its attacks on the civilian population. On the one hand, there is an embargo on the region, on the other hand, the gangs backed by the Turkish state cut off the water, etc. There are many forms of Turkey's attacks. The Turkish state, which lost a lot of blood, is doing these things to prolong its life. It does not want stability in the region and society. There are preparations in the society against these attacks, the public is being warned. Social organisation is needed to break down the attacks and the embargo. What will stop the Turkish state's concept of attack is the organisation of the society and its confidence in its own strength. We have plans for this."

 

THE PARTNERSHIP OF KDP AND ENKS

 

Pointing to the role of ENKS and KDP in the attacks against the Federated Kurdistan Region and Northern and Eastern Syria, Ehmed said, “Organisations such as ENKS and KDP have nothing to give to the society. ENKS does not have the power to influence and organise the society in Rojava-North and East Syria. It is propagandasing among his people according to the wishes of the enemies of the Kurdish people. It is propagandising to neutralize and weaken his society. It is managed externally in our opinion. Because ENKS has no roots or channels to make this policy on its own. Their partnership with the Turkish state is now at the highest level. Our people should know this too. If our people know the truth of KDP and ENKS, their propaganda will be ineffective. ENKS says "Afrin is now paradise". Women are raped and kidnapped on a daily basis in Afrin. Children are shot by gangs' bullets in schools. The flag of the Turkish state is hung on schools in Afrin, Afrin's trees are being cut down. How is this heaven? What is ENKS promoting? There is no basis for this propaganda of ENKS to reach a conclusion, and the society no longer believes it. ENKS and KDP did nothing for the society. If our society organises itself strongly, these propagandas of ENKS and KDP will be completely in vain."

 

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE NATIONAL CONGRESS

 

Emphasizing the importance of Kurdish national unity against the attacks, Ehmed said, "We will not accept any attack on any part of Kurdistan, whether the attack is on Shengal, Medya Defense Areas, Rojava, Rojhilat, it doesn't matter. We will respond. Those who divide us into four pieces are those who attack these regions once again today. That's why we, as a people and as a movement, will never accept these attacks. All the peoples of Kurdistan, especially the heroic people of Bashure Kurdistan, should frustrate this concept of attack. We must insist on this. As Rojava, we need the construction of the National Congress, especially TEV-DEM. The National Congress will not only defend the Kurdish people, but will also be a source of inspiration for the Middle East. Arabs, Assyrians, Circassians, Turkmens etc. will ensure the unity of the people. With the construction of this congress, we will frustrate the concept of the Middle East in general. Thus, we will destroy the KDP's partnership with the Turkish state."

 

THERE MUST BE A COMMON STANCE

 

Emphasizing the need to take a common stance against the attacks, Ehmed continued as follows: “If Shengal falls, Rojava will follow. We are all one, we will all be effected. The effect of the victory in Rojava affects Shengal too. If the intervention of the people of Rojava and the guerrilla in Shengal in 2014 didn't happen, tehre would be a great massacre. 5 thousand women fell into the hands of ISIS gangs. Our people flocked there, crossing borders. Rojava youth did not recognize borders. The guerrillas in the Medya Defense Zones took action against the attacks. In the attacks on Hewler, guerrilla forces rushed to help and protected Hewler. The same happened with the attacks on Makhmur. This is the national spirit. This spirit will not be broken by Turkish state attacks or KDP-ENKS propaganda. They fought and they were martyred. This spirit cannot be broken. This is why all attacks against our lands will be responded like it is on Rojava."
