İZMİR -  İzmir Bar Association filed a criminal complaint against state-linked gang head Sedat Peker, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Mehmet Ağar, Tolga Ağar and Erkan Yıldırım regarding the accusation made by Sedat Peker from his YouTube channel.

İzmir Bar Association said the following;

"Between May 2 and May 23, 2021, a person named Sedat Peker made very important claims from his YouTube channel. His speeches contain very important confessions in terms of state and mafia relations, and the seriousness of these confessions and statements and their evaluation by an independent judiciary is a requirement of the claim of being a state of law. But despite being watched millions of times, the parties to these claims have not made any statements and no investigations have been launched.In accordance with Article 2 of the Constitution, the precondition for being a democratic state of law is that the legislative, executive and judicial powers are completely separate from each other and the judiciary can act independently. The judges and prosecutors who are not taking action in the face of these claims will be responsible to our citizens. Izmir Bar Association is a legal institution that has been assigned to protect and defend the rule of law in accordance with the authority given to it by the Attorneyship Law, and has been struggling with historical political mechanisms against these gangs. For this reason, regarding the issues that Sedat Peker stated in 7 separate videos posted on his YouTube account between May 2, 2021 - May 23, 2021; A criminal complaint has been filed by the Presidency of the Bar Association against Sedat Peker, Süleyman Soylu, Mehmet Ağar, Tolga Ağar, Erkan Yıldırım and other persons who will be identified by the prosecutor when the videos are examined. In terms of the safety of the investigation, Süleyman Soylu, who was at the center of the allegations, should be dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately, and the investigation should begin immediately, since he was in the position of superior to those who would continue the investigation in his capacity. The Republic of Turkey has to resolve the aforementioned process by carrying out an effective and effective investigation. Otherwise; It will leave society alone with the reality of a country where the law is completely eliminated and the words of the powerful and those involved in illegal affairs are accepted as the only valid currency. It is never possible to accept this.

Due to the historical responsibility it has towards its country, its citizens and colleagues, İzmir Bar Association has made an application to expose the network of illegal relations, alleged drug trafficking, murder, rape, looting and other similar crimes.

We announce to the public respectfully.
