KARS - Citizens that gathered in front of Kars Municipality Co-Chair Ayhan Bilgen while he was being detained as part of the investigation on 'Kobané protests', chanted the slogan 'This city is proud of you' while he was being taken away.
Kars Municipality Co-Mayor Ayhan Bilgen, one of the names detained within the scope of the "Kobanê" investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was taken to the Provincial Security Directorate, following a search conducted at his house. Citizens gathered in front of his house while Bilgen was being taken into custody, chanting 'This city is proud of you', 'The people are proud of you', 'Shoulder to shoulder against fascism'.
Bilgen is expected to be taken to Ankara after being processed at the police station.
