The guards in Bağlar, wanted to detain a person in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır. The incident was recorded by the citizens witnessing it. The video shows that the neighborhood watchmen forces a man to lay on the ground and pressed on his neck with their knee. In the video reminiscent of how George Floyd was killed in USA, the footage shows that the police officers rushing to the scene kicks the man on the ground in the face.
According to the witnesses, the watchmen called the police when the citizens reacted to the incident. Rushing to the scene, Anti-Terrorism and Public Security teams, with a large number of armored vehicles, started to tear gas the citizens protesting the watchmen. Later, police detained 4 citizens and the man subjected to the violence of the police and the watchmen.
The 5 people taken into custody were taken to Diyarbakır Security Directorate.
