NEWS CENTER - HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan said, "This march will coninue until we achive democracy, peace and freedoms" in a speech she made in Silivri.

 

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) gathered in front of the Silivri Shopping Center in Silivri district of Istanbul for the Edirne branch of the "democracy march against coup" to be launched towards Ankara. Co-Chair Pervin Buldan made a statement there.

 

 

WE ARE MILLIONS

 

Buldan, stating that the march is against the coup, said: "They will not make us step back from our determined march. We are thousands, millions. You have made anti democratic decisions by closing down city borders , which violates the constitution. Your measures can not stop us from being with our people. If you hadn't taken that decisions millions would be farewelled from Edirne. The represantative of millions is being held in Edirne. Many prisons have elected represantatives. This march is a march for democracy for our friends in prisons, especially Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş. This is about them being held illegally."

 

OUR MARCH WILL CONTINUE UNTIL WE ACHIEVE PEACE

 

Buldan continued: "This march in not only for Yüksekdağ and Demirtaş, it is for the future of the peoples of Turkey. It is to ensure the freedoms coming with peace and democracy. You should not fear from peace and democracy, from Demirtaş and Yüksekdağ. They are the will of millions. This march is also for Osman Kavala. It is for the millions left to die from hunger and unemployement. This march will continue. It will continue until we achieve peace, democracy and freedoms."
