TUAY-DER Co-Chair Güzel and members jailed

	DİYARBAKIR - Police forces raided a number of houses in Amed yesterday morning as part of the political genocide ordered by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

	 

	Those detained in the operation included Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Bağlar city council member Vahit Doğru, TUAY-DER (Prisoners’ Families Solidarity Association) co-chair Mehmet Emin Güzel, executive Şafi Hayme and members Leyla Ayaz, Abdulmenaf Kur, Müşeher Ülker and MEBYA-DER member Hanım Altındağ.

	 

	The detainees were accused of “membership to an illegal organization”. Following the procedures at the police department, the detainees were referred to Diyarbakır Courthouse.

	 

	While four of the detainees were released on condition of judicial control, TUAY-DER co-chair Mehmet Emin Güzel, executive Şafi Hayme and member Müşeher Ülker were remanded in custody over the activities of TUAY-DER and their telephone conversations.
