Call for the 'March for Democracy' 2020-06-10 11:51:06 İSTANBUL - HDP MP Ali Kemaloğlu who stated that the march they will initiate from Edirne and Hakkari will be a 'March for Democracy', said that everyone has to assume responsibility to stand up to the coup and raise their voices. Following the appointment of trustees to the municipalities and the arrests of the elected mayors, the march planned by the HDP Central Executive Committee to protest the fact that Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Musa Farisoğulları have been stripped of their status as MPs,  will start on June 15. The march that will start from two points, one from Edirne where former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş being held prisoner and second from Hakkari where Leyla Güven has been elected an Mp, will end in Ankara on June 20.   HDP İstanbul MP Ali Kemaloğlu, stating that the government is afraid of the march they plan, said: "This government is scared when 3 people gathers and takes to the streets. They are scared that those 3 people may create a social explosion. Because the people are hungry. This is why the AKP- MHP block is afraid of even the possibility for the people to take to the streets. And that is the reason for the threats. They can use all the facilities of the government. But we state that all social segments must understand and percieve that Turkey needs a democratic normalization. This march will be a step for that."   MA / Ferhat Çelik
