Police raids on homes and associations in Diyarbakır: 6 detained 2020-06-09 10:11:44   DİYARBAKIR -Six people were detained during police raids on their homes including TUAY-DER Co-Chair Emin Güzel.   As part of an investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police raided many houses in the city. In the morning raids, People's Democratic Party (HDP) Bağlar City Council Member Vahit Doğru, Solidarity with the Families of Prisoners Association (TUAY-DER) Co-Chair Emin Güzel, TUAY-DER executive ŞAfii Hayme and members Leyla Ayaz, Abdulmenaf Kur, Müşeher Ülker were taken into police custody.   ASSOCIATION BUILDING RAIDED   Along with the raids on the houses, a raid was carried out on the building of TUAY-DER in Kayapınar Huzurevleri Mahallesi. It was stated that the police who opened the door with a locksmith searched the association.   THOSE DETAINED WERE ALSO BATTERED BY THE POLICE   Shafi Hayme, the director of TUAY-DER, whose house's door was broken, was battered and detained. Stating that the police officers detained Hayme as soon as they entered the house, his wife Şadiye Hayme said: "They entered the house as if there were enemy inside. There is no humanity left in them. They laid my husband on the floor and started kicking. They grabbed my by the hair and threw me on the ground when I tried to stop them. They were screaming 'lay down on the ground'. When my daughter asked them what they were doing they punched and kicked her too and laid her on the ground. They held a gun to her head and kneeled on her back. They did it to my little girl."
