6 people detained in Diyarbakır 2020-06-08 13:45:33   DİYARBAKIR - Six of the eight people issued with an arrest warrant in Diyarbakır have been taken into custody.   Within the scope of an investigation opened by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an arrest warrant was issued for 8 people on the grounds of of alleged statements by witness regarding joining marches, sit-in, protests against the trustee and press statements of the 8 people in question.   During the political genocide operations held yesterday in Diyarbakır, Çınar and Bingöl, People's Democratic Party (HDP) Party Assembly member Eşref Mamedoğlu, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) PM member Ramazan Dengiz, Rosa Women's Association member Suzan Işbilen, HDP former executive Hasan Kale and DISK Genel-İş Diyarbakır No.1 Branch chair Hasan Hayri Eroğlu were taken into custody.   Gülistan Nazlıer, a member of Rosa Women's Association, who had been issued an arrest warrant, was detained at Abalı Gendarmerie Station, where she had gone to give her statement.   Those detained within the scope of the investigation, because of the confidentiality decision on it, cannot see their lawyers for 24 hours. They are held at the Diyarbakır Police Headquarters.   Many books, magazines, organizers, SIM cards, flash memory and laptop computers were seized during the searches.   Rosa Women’s Association member Suzan Işbilen is kept in a single cell as she is considered in the risk group for COVID-19, given that she suffers from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
