Türkdoğan: Those who release gangsters could not meet the demand of a young man 2020-04-24 15:47:12 ANKARA - Reacting to the fact that the demand of death fasting Mustafa Koçak who died on the 297th day, IHD Co-Chair Öztürk Türkdoğan said: "This government that released the gangsters could not meet the one demand of a young man, which is a fair trial." Mustafa Koçak lost his life on the 297th day of the death fast he started in Kırıklar No 1 Type T Closed Prison. Humans' Rights Association (İHD) Co-Chair Öztürk Türkdoğan who had a meeting with the Ministry of Interior officials regarding the members of Grup Yorum and Mustafa Koçak, said the meeting request they made to the Ministry of Justice was left unanswered.   Türkdoğan, stating that the officials of the Ministry of Interior told them they would consider the demands if the hunger strikers stop their strike, said: "They did not trust the government and therefore declined the offer and expected the government to act first."   Türkdoğan said: "The government that released the gangsters with the law on execution could not meet the one demand of a young man, which is a fair trial. There is nothing more I can say except 'Shame on you!' I want to address those who served 5-6 years of jail time with the Ergenekon case; because they are the partners of the government now. They were locked up as a result of false statements of confessors. That happened to a young man today and they turned a bling eye and remain silent. This child died because they did not want to hear his voice. Shame on you!"
