MKGP celebrates Kurdish Journalists Day 2020-04-22 11:35:24 DİYARBAKIR - Mesopotamian Women Journalists Platform celebrated Kurdish Journalists Day with the message it published. Mesopotamia Women's Journalists Platform (MKGP) published a message due to Kurdish Journalists Day. In the message titled “Kurdish journalism, which is the name of being the light of the dark with truth”, it was emphasized that the Kurdish press, that has been working relentlessly for 122 years, still continues to work today  despite the oppression, blocking, closure of its newspapers, confiscation of its equipments, arrests, exiles and massacres. The message said: "“We congratulate this precious day of Kurdish press employees who are searching for truth in a wide range of TVs, newspapers, magazines and news agencies. Kurdish press has also achieved significant success and innovations in its professional journey over the centuries. It lead the way to the unique women's press mashed up with the women's struggle, carrying the free press tradition.    The path we chose is long, trying but bright. Because we walk this path with the strength we took from the pioneers like Mîqdad Mîdhed Bedirxan, Musa Anter, Gurbetelli Ersöz, Ayfer, Nujiyan, Rohat and many of our colleagues that became immortalized on this way and we walk that path with courage, determination and faith."
