
64 more prisoners tested positive for coronavirus

	İZMİR - Sixty-four more prisoners in the Buca Closed Prison in İzmir province have been diagnosed with Covid-19 after the first case was found in the prison on April 19, İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has announced.

	&nbsp;

	All 65 prisoners with coronavirus were in good health, the prosecutor's office said.

	&nbsp;

	A prisoner was referred to a medical institution for diarrhea and malaise on April 13 and tested positive for Covid-19. After the incident, people who contacted him were also tested for coronavirus.

	&nbsp;

	Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül stated on April 13 that no cases of the novel coronavirus were seen in closed prisons, while three prisoners in open prisons died of Covid-19.&nbsp;
