Dersim former Co-Mayor Nurhayat Altun who is being held in Kocaeli Kandıra No 1 Type F Prison for 4 years, told her family on the phone that they were not given food for 3 days following the release of the ordinary prisoners.   Bezar Yıldırım, Altun's sister said: "Nurhayat and the other prisoners staying with her are isolated in their cells. They do not have the opportunity to recieve news from outside. They do not have any connection to the outside other than a weekly 20 minute phonecall right."   Yıldırım, stating that her sister has high blood pressure, made a call and said: "Take precautions in prisons before people start dying. Yıldırım, reminding that the government is responsible for the health of the prisoners, said the political prisoners were left for dead with the newly adopted law on execution.    Yıldırım said: "We are worried as the families of the political prisoners. The prisoners that are already in bad condition in terms of hygiene can turn into a death trap any minute. We hear that there are prisoners who died from coronavirus in some prisons. The government is responsible for anything that might happen in prisons."   MA / Arjin Dilek Öncel
