60 percent of the population goes to work under the risk of death 2020-04-19 13:27:57   ANTALYA - SES Antalya Branch Co-chair Şükran İçöz stated that the outbreak has become widespread as a result of the government's approach and said, "At least 60 percent of the population is still going to work under the risk of death as a potential virus-carrier".   Şükran İçöz, Coordinator of the Health and Social Workers' Union (SES) Antalya Branch, evaluated the measures taken for the  coronavirus outbreak and the status of health workers.   Stating that in Antalya and all around the country, İçöz said that unplanned curfew increased the outbreak rather than slowing it down. İçöz said,"60 percent of the population goes to work everyday under the risk of death as potential carriers. The measures are not adequate".   MEASURES ARE NOT ADEQUATE    İçöz also shared the following comments: "Although partial precautions are taken for public employees, in many public institutions the measures are not adequate. Other than spesific moments of threatment, most of the health workers do not wear protective equipments such as gloves or masks. If there are no symptoms even in doubtful cases, no tests are performed. Healthcare workers are not periodically tested. Preventive health services are no provided".   MA / Hamdullah Kesen
