Mother of Sebahat Tuncel: My children are left for dead 2020-04-16 14:09:30   DİYARBAKIR - Meryem Tuncel, mother of former DBP Co-Chair Sebahat Tuncel said: "The fact that they left my children for dead behind walls scares me."   After the AKP-MHP's 70-item enforcement draft bill passed through the Parliament and published in the Official Gazette, evacuations started in prisons. Despite the threat of coronavirus (Kovid-19), reactions to the exclusion of arrested politicians, academics, lawyers and journalists continue. Meryem Tuncel (62), mother of Former Democratic Regions Party Co-Chair Sebahat Tuncel who is being held in Kandıra Type F Prison told that she is concerned about the safety and health of her daughter and her son Erdal Tuncer who is in Bolu Type F Prison for 8 years.  Meryem Tuncel called for awareness, saying that they were left for dead.   Tuncel, stating that the public should support the political prisoners, said: "We need to expose the attitude of the government. Those marginalized should come together and unite and stand against these practices of the government. The fact that my children are left for dead behind walls scares me. The government is responsible for the people in prisons.But thousands of prisoners are left for dead."   Tuncel, telling that her daughter Sebahat Tuncel said: "We are being isolated in prison. We are concerned about the outbreak."
